Creating Your Account

Use Your Pocket-ID Email

When creating your account, use the same email address you use for Pocket-ID. This will make it easier when we add single sign-on support in the future.

1. Go to budget.lothloriengrove.org
2. Click Register or Create Account
3. Enter your email (use your Pocket-ID email!)
4. Create a password
5. Complete registration

Features

Tracking Transactions

• Record income and expenses
• Categorize spending (groceries, utilities, entertainment, etc.)
• Split transactions across categories
• Add notes and attachments to transactions

Budgets

• Set monthly budgets per category
• Track spending against your budget
• Get visual progress bars showing remaining budget

Accounts

• Track multiple accounts (checking, savings, credit cards)
• Record transfers between accounts
• Reconcile with bank statements

Reports

• See spending trends over time
• Compare months or years
• Break down by category, account, or tag

Recurring Transactions

• Set up recurring bills (rent, subscriptions, etc.)
• Automatic reminders for upcoming payments

Mobile Access

Firefly III doesn’t have an official app, but the web app works great on phones.

Add to Home Screen

For the best experience, add the web app to your home screen:

• iPhone: Tap Share → “Add to Home Screen”
• Android: Tap menu (⋮) → “Add to Home Screen”

Privacy

Your financial data is completely private to your account. No one else can see your transactions, budgets, or accounts.

Troubleshooting

Forgot password

• Use the “Forgot Password” link on the login page
• Check your email for reset instructions

Can’t log in

• Make sure you’re using the correct email
• Try resetting your password
• Ask in Element support
